With all the old favourites from all their albums all on two cd’s this album just could not lose valentine suite still makes the back of my hair stick up whenever i hear it beware the aides of march off their first album tells you how much the band progressed in about three years when chris farlowe joined them this certainly added a new dimension to their music this is very apparent on lost angeles where dick heckstall -smith’s magnificent saxophone playing is very evident the fact that when they reformed again in 1997 that’s nearly thirty years after they first started sounding as good as ever proves just what excellent musicians they still are if you have never had the pleasure of listening to colosseum before buy this cd and you will soon be hooked.
